Auto Import

Can I auto import the existing folders and permissions that currently exist under the Portal folder?

I want to use this for an intranet site that has hundreds of page level admins. Each department in the company has a page or section of the sight that they can edit. Each depart has a security role (HR Admin, Security Admin, IT Admin etc.) and each role has a folder for files (HR Admin FIles etc.).

I am trying to overcome the dnn core limitation of the users not being able to delete files or make sub-folders. I don't want to give them their own personal folder because I really don't want another plus-hundred folders to manage and other users in their security role need access the files. I want to put this module on a page that all admins can access and manage their pre-existing folders/files. Can this be done automatically? Does this product sync with the core file manager?

Thanks

Re: Auto Import

Can you provide some more details on how you have the core DNN filemanager permissions setup?

Syncing to the DNN core file manager is a feature that is coming very soon, but is not in the current version.

As far as existing folders/permissions, probably we would need to do a bit of manual work to import this (in the form of a stored procedure or two), but with more details I believe I can help you find a solution.  Please email me at admin@adverageous.com with the details of your current file-manager permission setup, and we can take things from there.
