I believe we can manipulate the javascript for to open a specific folder, however we would have to have the ID value of the folder – as full harddrive/network share paths are not sent to the client.

As long as the folderID in the DB does not change, we might be able to modify the other module to call the appropriate ajax-callback scripts in my module, which would open the desired folder for the client.

I'll have to look into the vertical scrollbar issue a bit more and get back with you.
