Thanks for the support, when are you gone launch your newer version because currently the folders that are created automatically uses ModuleID_UserID as there name and its very difficult for host to identify the folder for a particular user. Is there any way how i can know. You said in 1.5 you will change ModuleID_UserID to ModuleID_username.

Is it be possible that if we want it to change the name of the folder from  ModuleID_UserID  to ModuleID_Firstname_lastname ?

Sorry I missed this post.

The problem with doing ModuleID_FirstName_LastName is...if for some strange reason a user changes thier lastname...how would the module know?   That said, there is a possible solution that I am working the details on:

Keep the Physical foldernames ModuleID_UserID.

Allow a new folder type for Managing AutoCreate folders.  When viewing a folder of this type in the "Tree"...I can easily have the module translate the ModuleID_UserID to Username or FirstName_LastName.

So, a foldername for me would be  C:\UserFolders\12_345

But in the module, as an admin viewing the new folder type we would see a tree such as:

[AcAdmin]UserFolders
     sjstokes
     someusername
     TestUserName

Or optionally:

[AcAdmin]UserFolders
     Scott_Stokes
     SomeUser_LastName
     TestUserName_LastName

The admin could determine whcih format to display in.  This would solve the problem of finding a particular user's folder, and keep integrity of folder names in case of a name change on a user.

Re: AdverageousAccessManager is currently unavailable.

As we approach these gfolders on the server directly (without loggin in to DNN) a recognisable format would be helpfull. I woud prefer the use of the username, as the user cannot change this (so in my case this would be 12_mazeland.  We use this at out helpdesk and we assign usernames ourself to our customers.

Yes we are happy to keep the Physical foldernames as ModuleID_UserID.
Can you have the module translate the folder name from ModuleID_UserID to FirstName_LastName_Email
and when can i have the updates ?
Your support is really appreciated

Reviewing all the options, and relating to how future features will work with the module, I believe this is the best method:
Change physical foldernames to ModuleID_UserName.
Option to add an "Autocreate Admin" folder, which will translate the displayed foldernames in the tree to either:
Username
FirstName_LastName
DisplayName.

I will either make each option available hardcoded, or perhaps allow a tag-replacement system.

The UI for the admin area is still being re-written.  The main goal is to allow viewing/editing of all settings for a single folder (including each user/role setting), without page-switching or tab-switching.  Several of my customers have intense Folder/User/Role requirements, and the current Admin UI is not very efficient for this.
The database strructure is set well for this, so these changes will not effect existing installations.

Changing the existing Autocreate foldername structure causes a few issues which are still to be worked out.

All this said, I do hope to have a new release by the 1rst of July at the latest.  Some of the more advanced feature additions (not relating to the above), will probably be pushed to a 1.6 version.

DNN 5.x is coming soon as well:  I have found only minimal issues with Access Manager running in DNN 5.x beta.  While the module will function as-is in DNN 5.x, a DNN 5.x-optimized version of Access Manager (and Daily Schedule), will be available within 1 to 2 days of the 5.x release.
